Feedback is a powerful tool for personal and professional development. Submittable’s new Shareable Reviews feature makes it easy to receive valuable information regarding your submission or application.
Organizations you submit to can choose to enable this advanced feature to streamline their review process, improve convenience for you, favor transparency, and offer you valuable feedback at any point in the submission process.
How does it work?
If an organization has shared a review with you:
- You’ll receive an email notification from the organization with a link to your review.
- You can access the review by following the link or clicking into the submission from within your account and selecting the Reviews tab.
What are the benefits?
Opportunities for growth. Try as we might, it’s impossible to see ourselves and our work as others do. When individuals and organizations take the time to communicate constructively or reflect on our work, this insight can be invaluable for helping us improve the quality of submissions we make in the future.
Centralized access. Similar to Submittable’s in-app Messaging feature, Shareable Reviews ensures that all important correspondence regarding a submissions is available in one, central location. You can access it anytime and enjoy free cloud-based storage.
Transparent communication. What goes on behind the scenes during a submission or application review process can be frustratingly ambiguous. Organizations that choose to share their assessment can help by shedding light on the final selections they make and helping us submit smarter next time.
Direct encouragement. Reinforcement is a great motivator—it’s also just plain nice to hear nice things. When organizations choose to share positive feedback through Shareable Reviews, it can be a great incentive to keep going and strive a little harder.
