01/31/2018

The 5th annual Wild to Inspire contest hosted by Nat Geo WILD and Sun Valley Film Festival challenges filmmakers at any stage in their career to create a short documentary film (three minutes or less) featuring an animal lover in their community.

The top three finalists, announced early March 2018, will receive $2,000 in cash prizes and an invitation to attend the Sun Valley Film Festival in Sun Valley, Idaho, March 14-18, to screen their films for festival attendees, a panel of judges, and Nat Geo WILD executives.

The grand prize winner will be announced at the festival’s closing ceremony and receive an-expenses paid National Geographic expedition. A previous Wild to Inspire winner, Filipe DeAndrade, is now host of his own Nat Geo Wild series, Untamed.

Submissions will be accepted through February 26, 2018. The contest is open to U.S. residents. To view all  contest rules, regulations and prizing, visit wildtoinspire.submittable.com.
