03/29/2018

For the 5th Annual Nat Geo Wild to Inspire contest, Submittable partnered with the Sun Valley Film Festival and Nat Geo Wild team to promote an open call for documentary films about animal lovers and their relationship to the wild. The winning short The Embodiment of Hope, directed by Marvi Lacar and Benjamin Lowy, explores their children’s curiosity about the ocean and how it offers hope for the future.

Runners-up included Reed Rickert, for the film Iridescence, and Matthew Gary, for the film Horse Packer.
