AT&T Film Awards Launches New Contest for Emerging Filmmakers


The AT&T Film Awards, powered by Submittable, launched the 5th edition of the their short film competition. Judges are seeking imaginative, undiscovered short films from aspiring creators across the U.S.

Films will be accepted through December 7, 2018, or until 1,000 submissions are received.

Categories include:

  • Spanish-language short films by college students
  • Short films by youth ages 13-18
  • Films shot on mobile
  • Filmmakers from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds
  • VR/AR/MR projects

The competition is offering $60K in cash prizes, along with special prizes for the youth and Spanish-language categories. Past winners include Nicholas Arioli, director of Coin Operated, Young Gul Cho, director of E-Delivery, and Cameo Wood, director of Real Artists. You can see all of the previous winners here.
